Title: Back Button Support with MS Ajax 3.5SP1
Description: First came html, then came page postbacks, then came AJAX, then came confusion.
With the popular use of AJAX, your customers have lost there back
button navigation. ASP.NET SP1 to the rescue. Now you have a
navigation event that can be used in conjunction with the
ScriptManager to keep track of your History Points. When you perform a
partial page postback, and want your page consumer to be able to undo
that postback, you can register a 'HistoryPoint' - and the Back Button
will come alive. After the user has navigated backwards, the forward
button will work as well.
This new History portion of the ScriptManger is now without it's
Gotchas. In addition to the basic functionality of the Back Button
support offered in SP1, you will also learn several tips and tricks to
stay out of trouble in the future.
